Edstart's Achievement Awards Program is an opportunity for students to be recognised in an area they are passionate about.

Acknowledging talented students across Australia

We're aiming to support some of Australia's young minds in the following categories.

Technology and innovation

Would like to embark on a project related to science, technology, engineering or maths to solve real world problems

Sustainability and environment

Would like to launch an initiative or program to address a particular issue related to sustainability and the environment

Performing and visual arts

Passionate about performing or visual art and would like to undertake training or a project to further their passion or showcase their talent

Entrepreneurship

Has an innovative idea or initiative in response to a particular need that we can help get off the ground

Sport and physical wellbeing

Talented in a particular sport or is passionate about health and physical wellbeing

Social impact

Passionate about a certain issue and are looking at ways to address it

Each winner will receive an award to recognise their achievement, as well as a $1,500 grant to fund a project, initiative or training related to their category.

When will the winners be announced?

We will be selecting and announcing the six finalists for each category by Wednesday 21 June 2023.


Winners will be notified by Wednesday 19 July 2023, with announcements made that week.

Who can submit a nomination?

A nomination can be submitted by any primary or secondary student with parent/guardian approval or by a parent/guardian on a student's behalf.

What if I'm involved in a project or initiative with more than one person?

As the award is to recognise individual student achievement, you can nominate one person to represent the project or each person in the project can submit a nomination.

Can I nominate for more than one award category?

Yes, you can submit a separate entry for each category if you wish to apply for more than one of the award categories.

How do I provide additional supporting information?

If you would like to provide additional information to support your nomination, please send it to award@edstart.com.au.

What can the grant be used for?

Each award winner can use the $1,500 grant to help fund the relevant project, initiative or training specified in their nomination form. This can be for something new or extension to an ongoing project, initiative or training related to their category.
