Young entrepreneur turns love of tea into a successful business
While drinking copious amounts of tea over lockdown, Sienna Capra wondered why there were none that catered to the needs of teenagers and young adults. Harnessing her love of tea and passion for sustainability and health, she founded Spill The Tea Co. a producer of small batch, ethically sourced herbal teas for young people.
The Hennessy Catholic College student's motivation to run a business while still at school, led her to win an Edstart Achievement award in the Entrepreneurship category.
Selling her products across the countrySienna has a suite of herbal teas that she blends herself, sourcing ethical ingredients from all over the world. She originally launched a website to sell her range of products but has since grown a list of stockists and wholesalers across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia.
Backed by the overwhelming support and encouragement from her local community in Young, Sienna also attends various markets across regional New South Wales for people to sample the herbal teas.
